Lilith the Death Worshipper

Hey,

Today I am back with a watercolour painting that I joined with a “draw this in your style” challenge by Angel Ganev.

I finally started to understand how watercolours work, so I am glad about it. I am OK with the result, in real life it looks better than it does on the picture (unfortunately the red cloth of “Lilith” seems orange…)

Materials: watercolour paint and a waterproof fineliner on watercolour paper.

I hope you like my drawing too even though it looks like a beginner’s drawing (it is actually that🙈) next to the original.

Monster design

Hey,

Lately I am really into monsters. And so I designed one. Honestly I have no idea why is the monster’s eye in its mouth or why is it so skinny, but I like how it turned out.

I would like to name this creature, but unfortunately I am terrible in giving names😅 I have been thinking about a Greek name, because I love the Greek Mythology. I mean something like the mixture of Greek words: Τέρας (monster) and ακρίδα (locus)- yep, somehow the legs of this creature rinds me on that ( I am terrible, I know…😅)

So that’s it, do you have any ideas how should I call this kind of cute (at least for me) creature? Of course, I know that I am literally just talking to myself, because no men in this world reads my blog nor leave a comment, but who cares?

Materials: an HB pencil on watercolour paper.

Cobra

Hey,

I am back with a quick sketch of a cobra. I bought some new pen and I wanted to try them out. It was lot of fun to make those messy lines around the snake.

“The cobra’s dramatic threat posture makes for a unique spectacle as it appears to sway to the tune of a snake charmer’s flute. The cobra is deaf to the snake charmer’s pipe, but follows the visual cue of the moving pipe and it can sense the ground vibrations from the snake charmer’s tapping.” – Wikipedia

Materials: Staedtler fineliners on watercolour paper.

Bat mask

Hey,

This is an ink drawing about a girl who wears a bat mask. So after I arrived home from Libro, where I bought a drawing ink, I wanted to try it out. Yesterday I was quite tired so I just didn’t have enough power to draw something detailed, but I needed to draw so after I drew the mask, I smashed the ink on the paper, just to see how it works. It was lot of fun, and I am sure that I will use this ink in the future. Even if I am not satisfied with my drawing, I learnt a lot about ink.

Materials: drawing ink, water and waterproof fineliners on watercolour paper.

Thank you for reading my blog, till Monday 🙂

Lyra the lost fawn

Hey everyone,

This is again for a @drawthisinyourstile art challenge by @angelganev. The original artwork is in the followings.

It was lot of fun to draw this character. The pose is also different from the usual, so it was a great exercise to draw.

Right now I am so happy because I think I have finally found my own style. I am glad that I joined this challenge, thisese are really helpful. I really recommend it to everyone to join challenges like these, because it’s fun and it helps you to get better.

Kid of darkness

Hey everyone,

This is the work of yesterday. I am in love with the black colour right now, that is why, I didn’t use any colours. I am quite satisfied with the result, but it’s a bit darker than I wanted it to be. And the hands are also not that good, but psssst, please don’t notice it. I also planned the drawing in a very different way, at first I wanted to draw her legs as a normal character, without that black slime around her. But I ruined her legs and cloth, so this is the way how I fixed my drawing.

So it’s a great example how to fix a drawing that you ruined.

Yes that’s it, it was so bad XD

Materials: a black Pilot fineliner on watercolour paper and acrylic paint.

I hope you like the result, thank you for reading my blog

Snowboarder

Hey Everyone,

Guess what, on Saturday I went snowboarding, because I decided to learn it. I was wearing butt, knee and back protectors (I really recommend them to you, if you are about to start snowboarding),whitout them I guess I would be laying in a hospital bed.. I have fallen on my knees about thousand times and so now both of my knees are having a great greenish purplish blue colour. They still hurt as hell, but now I can use my legs properly, not as yesterday. I also fall on my back about thousand times. I always had had problems with my neck, but after I turned over my head twice my neck made a funny noise and now I guess, my neck is better than ever before. After all I “learnt” snowboarding and even if it was very painful, I am glad that I learnt it. It is suck a good feeling to slip down the mountains. Anyway, back to the drawing.

Snowboarding inspired me a lot so I decided to draw a snowboarder. I really like the clothing of the snowboarders, so I thought it would be great to design a character and it’s clothing. So yeah, this is the result.

Materials: a Stabilo fineliner and an HB pencil on watercolour paper.

Pet Dragon

I have been sitting on the train for 2 hours. I watched a film, then I got bored. I picked a sheet of paper and a pencil and I started to draw. I had no idea what to draw, but I just started it and this is the “result”. This is only a quick sketch and I am planning to draw it once more, but with colours.

I have always been dreaming about having a dragon just as this girl (yes it is a girl, I know it looks like a boy, but it’s not). And I also want to have a cool hair, like she has, so it’s actually the person I liked to be.

Materials: a random piece of paper an a 2B pencil.

I hope you like my sketch, if you do, let me know.

Bubble Gum

This is the first drawing, that I have ever done for the #drawthisinyourstyle challenge. @angelganev created the original picture.

So about my drawing: This character was wery hard to draw, because of the colour of the skin. Actually I wanted to paint it with watercolour, but I didn’t have any at home. So I tried out everything else. So only for her skin I used acrylic paint, markers and pencils. And it’s about 10 layers. (Then I messed up the girls clothes, so I cut that down.)

But I like how the drawing turned out. I like the hair of the girl, that it’s just very cartoony, because of its pink highlights. And I also learned a some new techniques, so I am glad that I joined the challenge.

Materials: acrylic paint, Stabilo pens, prismacolor pencils and a white pen on watercolour paper.

Aqua Girl

A new drawing in my sketchbook, I drew the sketch at school, because I was a bit bored and finished it at home. I used a technique that I really like, when I use markers.

What you need: a black (Stabilo) fineliner, a white pencil, a blue and black (Stabilo) marker and any kind of paper (I used a watercolour paper).

Tipp: When you use a marker it often makes those ugly lines, so my idea was to use pencils first, so that it will give a new surface, then use your markers. You will see the difference.
