Lion Queen

Hi,

This time I am back with a drawing where I used ink for the 2. time and gold paint for the first time.

At first I wanted to draw a wolf- girl, but I messed up the drawing so I destroyed it.

Yeees.. so it was so terrible… And it got worse when I started to use watercolours… It looked so ridiculous, especially that now I finished the Lion Queen. The wolf girl looked like a five years old kids messed up drawing.

But now I am really happy that I didn’t give up and started to draw a new one. That’s how I proved myself that if I concentrate enough hard it can turn out way more better, than when I just draw because I feel like I should…

So I am proud of the result and it became my favourite drawing.

Materials: a black fineliner, Chinese ink and golden paint (from Pentart) on watercolour paper.

Fantasy Tree

Fantasy Tree
This is quite an old drawing, I drew this in 2017. I only used an HB and a 4B pencil and a rubber of course.
I remember that it took me so long to finish it. Once I started to draw I pretty much liked the way it was. But after that I didn’t want to continue because I was afraid that I’d ruin it. Then some months later I needed drawings for my portfolio, so I couldn’t choose but to finish it.

I am sorry though, that I share my old art but I have an incredible muscle fiber in my whole body. Like everywhere. It even hurts to breath. To stand up or to sit down is hell. I can’t even use my arms properly. But my neck is the worst, it feels ao tyring and painful just to hold my head. This is all because yesterday for the first time I went and tried out free running. It lasted a bit more than 2 hours and I have been trying to learn front and back flip without almost no stopping. Anyway I really enjoyed the class, so from now on I am going to go there every Tuesday. What I’d like to say is, sorry but today I cannot draw. I tried but I ruined my beloved drawing that I wanted to finish. This was honestly my nightmare…

So some stuff about that tree. I really like to create art from little lines (for me it’s so satisfying somehow), that’s why I created the tree, just to practice. I like the way how it turned out, even though it’s full with mistakes or at least it could have been better.

Materials: An HB and a 4B pencil on a 120g/m2 paper.

I hope you like the drawing

Insects

Hey,

These sketches are from last year. I used watercolours.

I have been interested in insects and beetles since I was 5. When I was younger I read and learnt a lot about them. I liked to capture them and watch them and some minutes later set them free. They are beautiful little creatures and I can’t understand how can somebody be scared or disgusted from them. I love spiders and bees too. I have been holding both of them in my hands several times, but they have never bit me until now.

These sketches are as big as the beetles are in real life. It was quite hard to paint something that small, but it was lots of fun.

Materials: watercolour on cold pressed watercolour paper.

I hope you like my sketches.

Lilith the Death Worshipper

Hey,

Today I am back with a watercolour painting that I joined with a “draw this in your style” challenge by Angel Ganev.

I finally started to understand how watercolours work, so I am glad about it. I am OK with the result, in real life it looks better than it does on the picture (unfortunately the red cloth of “Lilith” seems orange…)

Materials: watercolour paint and a waterproof fineliner on watercolour paper.

I hope you like my drawing too even though it looks like a beginner’s drawing (it is actually that🙈) next to the original.

Seahorse’s world

Hey,

What’s up guys? I am back with a watercolour painting.

I have been watching the Vikings series that I love and inspired me, that’s why the girl has a hair like this. I wanted to practice painting with watercolours and it was time to draw anyway, so this is it.

I have learnt a lot, like every time I draw, about watercolours. But first I tortured my poor sketchbook. I guess I used way too much water, so my poor watercolour sketchbook actually started to fall in pieces. But luckily it survived though. I really enjoyed the whole process, my favourite part was to pick up the paint with a brush from the paper, creating these lines of light.

At the end I have been trying to scan this drawing for 2 hours and after lots of bugs (something was wrong with my scanner) it finally worked. Then I had issues with transfering my file from my computer to my phone. But anyway it’s finally here.

I hope you like it, follow me for more art or hit the 🌟 button.

Monster design

Hey,

Lately I am really into monsters. And so I designed one. Honestly I have no idea why is the monster’s eye in its mouth or why is it so skinny, but I like how it turned out.

I would like to name this creature, but unfortunately I am terrible in giving names😅 I have been thinking about a Greek name, because I love the Greek Mythology. I mean something like the mixture of Greek words: Τέρας (monster) and ακρίδα (locus)- yep, somehow the legs of this creature rinds me on that ( I am terrible, I know…😅)

So that’s it, do you have any ideas how should I call this kind of cute (at least for me) creature? Of course, I know that I am literally just talking to myself, because no men in this world reads my blog nor leave a comment, but who cares?

Materials: an HB pencil on watercolour paper.

Horse of Death

Finished work

I have been at home today, because I am ill, so I had a lot of time to draw (and the funny thing is, that I feel like I am half dead and half alive just as this horse).

The last time when I drew a horse was about 8 years ago, in 3rd class. It was time to draw one again, but I didn’t want to copy a picture of a horse to create a totally life-like art, but to do something more interesting. So this is pretty much it, a monster that borned in my mind.

Materials: black ink, Staedtler fineliners, watercolour paint and a white pen on watercolour paper

The sketch

Honestly, I think that my sketch looked way better than my finished drawing, it probably had been better if I only used a black pen or ink, without any colours. Now, with the red, yellow and grey it’s just too much. But I still like the result, however it could have turned out better.

The finished work without any colour

Hmmm.. in black and white it’s so much better, I guess. What do you think?

Cobra

Hey,

I am back with a quick sketch of a cobra. I bought some new pen and I wanted to try them out. It was lot of fun to make those messy lines around the snake.

“The cobra’s dramatic threat posture makes for a unique spectacle as it appears to sway to the tune of a snake charmer’s flute. The cobra is deaf to the snake charmer’s pipe, but follows the visual cue of the moving pipe and it can sense the ground vibrations from the snake charmer’s tapping.” – Wikipedia

Bat mask

Hey,

This is an ink drawing about a girl who wears a bat mask. So after I arrived home from Libro, where I bought a drawing ink, I wanted to try it out. Yesterday I was quite tired so I just didn’t have enough power to draw something detailed, but I needed to draw so after I drew the mask, I smashed the ink on the paper, just to see how it works. It was lot of fun, and I am sure that I will use this ink in the future. Even if I am not satisfied with my drawing, I learnt a lot about ink.

Materials: drawing ink, water and waterproof fineliners on watercolour paper.

Thank you for reading my blog, till Monday 🙂

Lyra the lost fawn

Hey everyone,

This is again for a @drawthisinyourstile art challenge by @angelganev. The original artwork is in the followings.

It was lot of fun to draw this character. The pose is also different from the usual, so it was a great exercise to draw.

Right now I am so happy because I think I have finally found my own style. I am glad that I joined this challenge, thisese are really helpful. I really recommend it to everyone to join challenges like these, because it’s fun and it helps you to get better.
